What you need before you start

  • A Maxisnap account with the Studio add-on. Studio is a one-time $29 purchase with no subscription.
  • Web hosting that runs PHP 8 or newer on Apache or LiteSpeed with .htaccess rules enabled, served over HTTPS.
  • Access to your host's file manager or FTP so you can upload one folder to your website root.
  • The Maxisnap app for Windows, signed in to the account that owns Studio.

Hosting is sold separately and is not included with Studio. The demonstration uses a fictional business called Northline; the file-manager screens are illustrative and menus vary between hosts.

0:13 Start in Maxisnap. Download your Studio dashboard and open Start Here. Add your company name and logo. Pick your colours, choose light or dark, and watch the preview change instantly. Click “Lock in my branding.” Your branded upload package is ready.

0:28 In your web host's file manager, open public_html, upload snaps.zip, and extract it. That's your dashboard folder, ready on your website.

0:38 Open your website /snaps/. Studio checks your hosting and creates a dashboard key. Copy it, keep it private, and click “Create my dashboard.”

0:46 Back in the Maxisnap setup wizard, paste your dashboard address and secret key. Click “Test connection.” Connected. Finish & Save. Your app is now linked to your own server.

0:57 Take a screenshot or record a video. Click Upload, and share the link. Your customer opens a polished page with your logo and colours, at your web address. Add a website button to bring them back to your business.
