What you need to run Maxisnap
Windows
Windows 10 (1903+) or Windows 11, 64-bit. Current installer: 109 MB.
macOS
macOS 13 Ventura or later, on Intel or Apple silicon. Recording your microphone needs macOS 15 or later.
No Dependencies
No separate runtime to install and no Electron browser layer. The tray process remains available for global capture shortcuts.

Common questions about downloading
Is Maxisnap really free?
Yes. Maxisnap Free includes region, full-screen, and scrolling capture, screen recording with audio, all 12 annotation tools, on-device OCR, AI Mode export, clipboard copy, save to disk, and the published free Cloud allowance. Pro is $18/year for 10 GB of Maxisnap Cloud storage (Pro Plus is $59/year for 50 GB). Configurable SFTP, FTP, S3-compatible, and HTTP destinations require the $29 one-time Studio add-on.
How do I install Maxisnap?
Download the Windows installer, run it, and follow the setup wizard. When setup completes, Maxisnap appears in your system tray.
Is there a Mac version?
Yes. Maxisnap for Mac runs on macOS 13 or later, on Intel and Apple silicon Macs. Use the macOS download above; the same Maxisnap account and plans work on Windows and Mac.
Which platforms are supported?
Maxisnap is available for Windows 10 (version 1903 or later) and Windows 11, 64-bit, and for macOS 13 or later on Intel and Apple silicon Macs. There is no Linux build. You can browse all supported devices to see screen sizes, DPI ranges, and architecture targets that have been verified end-to-end.
Do I need to create an account?
No. You can capture, annotate, record, copy, and save without any account. Sign in only if you want Maxisnap Cloud share links and the online library that comes with them.
Is there telemetry or tracking?
Maxisnap sends privacy-conscious product analytics and crash diagnostics by default so we can spot bugs, measure feature usage, and improve reliability. It does not upload screenshot contents, clipboard text, or your files unless you explicitly upload a screenshot or attach one to a bug report, and you can turn analytics off in Settings at any time.
Can I download previous versions?
No. Older public installers are withdrawn when a broken or unsupported build is replaced. The releases page lists the current supported desktop release and its changelog.
