A native macOS build is actively in development — we took the previous experimental DMGs down while we rebuild the app properly for Apple Silicon, with code signing, notarization, and full feature parity with the Windows version. We don't have a public release date yet. If you'd like a heads-up when it lands, drop us a note.
Maxisnap is available today for Windows (7, 8, 10, 11 — 64-bit). A macOS build for 12 Monterey and later (Apple Silicon) is in development. Linux support may come in the future. You can browse all supported devices to see screen sizes, DPI ranges, and architecture targets that have been verified end-to-end.
No. You can capture, annotate, copy, and save screenshots without any account. Sign in only if you want Maxisnap Cloud uploads and library sync.
Maxisnap sends privacy-conscious product analytics and crash diagnostics by default so we can spot bugs, measure feature usage, and improve reliability. It does not upload screenshot contents, clipboard text, or your files unless you explicitly upload a screenshot or attach one to a bug report, and you can turn analytics off in Settings at any time.
No. Older public installers are withdrawn when a broken or unsupported build is replaced. The releases page lists the current supported desktop release and its changelog.
