Screenshots should
just work
We built Maxisnap to be the screenshot tool we wanted to use every day.
Built from frustration,
refined by daily use
We're developers. We take screenshots constantly — bug reports, documentation, design reviews, quick shares with teammates. Every day, dozens of captures.
So we built Maxisnap. Not to compete with feature lists — but to build the tool we actually wanted to use. One that starts fast, captures cleanly, and annotates without fuss. Explore the features, or download Maxisnap free and try it for yourself.
Our promise
- Resources are released after capture so the tray app stays lightweight.
- Focused by design. The current Windows installer is 109 MB and avoids bundling an unrelated full video editor.
- All the tools you need — arrows, text, blur, shapes.
- No dark patterns. No upsell popups. The free version is genuinely useful.
Designed for reliability,
not feature creep
Designed for long workdays
Maxisnap releases capture buffers and temporary resources when each task finishes. If you see unexpected growth, the in-app bug reporter sends the details needed to investigate it.
Instant startup
No splash screens, no loading bars. It starts with Windows and sits quietly in your system tray until you need it. When you press the hotkey, capture begins immediately.
Focused simplicity
We keep capture focused: fast screenshots, annotations, scrolling capture, and lightweight video recording with optional Cloud sharing.
Small team, high standards
Maxisnap is built by a small team of developers who use screenshot tools every single day. We're not a venture-funded startup chasing growth metrics — we're practitioners building the tool we wish existed.
We're open about being a newer product.
Every feature we ship has been tested in our own daily workflows first. If it doesn't make our lives better, it doesn't ship.
